When I see you smile
The tape player connects
And the song of our life plays

Each time you reach out your hand
My heart is ready to be twirled
Each step a masterful waltz

Whenever you speak
This old book opens
The familiar smell
Of memories fills me

Desert sky

Let’s drive out to the desert. Look up into that velvet purple sky. Almost able to pluck those precious sequins sewn into rich tapestry.

Child at heart

I’m Still A Child At heart.

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll have to say goodbye to her.

To let go of the optimistic way I feel when I look at the world.

Will I be able to grow into a woman then

At the cost of still seeing shapes in the clouds.

Or feeling exhilarated by the smell of the ocean.

Or looking up at the moon and feeling fuller.
